Erte is an elegant 16hh, dark honey bay 2007 Thoroughbred mare who has NEVER TRAINED FOR RACING OR BEEN RACED. Satellite Sun x Faithfulness. She is loving, completely sound, a lovely mover, and there is the added benefit of a young thoroughbred who has never been involved with the physical or mental stresses of racing. Start with a clean slate, and you can look forward to many years of sound athleticism with this kind partner. On our farm, Erte has been developing social skills with a herd of horses over rugged, varied terrain in pastures up to 20 plus acres in size. This natural lifestyle helps us transition from training in the arena to the trail; and will be a confidence builder for any young horse - a fantastic foundation for a horse who may be heading into a fox hunting or cross country career. Erte began her gradual training with Natural Horsemanship; she responds to voice commands on the longe; and is going well under saddle. She is schooling walk trot on the 20m circle, ground rails, turns on the forehand and haunches, leg yield, & has started on training to prepare her for the trails. She is responsive, very eager to please, athletic; and truly pleases the eye like an elegant bronze by the art deco sculptor, Erte.
